Office of Knowledge Network and Extensive Media as one of the offices of the Institute of Agricultural Education and Extension, supporting agricultural extension training activities in the country and publishes specialized content in this section. This office also act as planning and designing a flexible and efficient network in all dimensions and elements of knowledge management, especially agricultural media and new IT and ICT technologies to share knowledge automatically and semi-automatically through the use of artificial intelligence. The purpose of this activity is to cover appropriate, comprehensive and up-to-date educational needs of all audiences in the agricultural sector through the use of all media, especially IT and ICT-based media at the national and provincial levels.

Agricultural Knowledge and Technology Promotion Forum

The Agricultural Knowledge and Technology Promotion Forum with the slogan "We are closer to you today" as a digital library includes promotional educational works in the form of media and technologies based on IT and ICT in the agricultural sector. The main approach has been the quantitative and qualitative development of this system; So that by the end of June of this year (2021) about 7000 promotional works (books, magazines, promotional brochures, educational videos, posters, electronic media, agricultural software, etc.) have been uploaded.

Agricultural applications (mobile applications)

One of the newest and fastest ways to transfer knowledge and information in various fields of agriculture is to use a variety of applications; Applications that answer the audience's question in simple language and in just a few steps. These soft wares can be very effective in solving the problems of farmers due to their comprehensiveness and ability to provide additional information, availability at any time and place, as well as extensive coverage of audiences in different geographical areas.

Call Center System

        Call Center system with the aim of direct communication with experts and answering specialized questions in various fields of agriculture and natural resources has been planned and implemented by the Agricultural Information Technology Center of the Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization. This system was piloted in the second half of 2020 in Ardabil, Lorestan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan and Fars provinces. The system is based on digital telecommunication lines and automatically answers telephone calls and provides consulting services by phone and under the supervision of agricultural experts and specialists. The call center system will be launched throughout the country in the near future.

Facilities available in the farmer telephone counseling system:

Ability to select the desired area and subdivision in order to receive telephone consultation,

Direct communication with researchers and experts in the agricultural sector,

• Ability to record a message to ask a question if a call is not made.

Print media

     The print media has been used by the office as one of the tools available to convey the latest research findings and agricultural information tailored to the target groups. This media includes books, publications, handbook brochures, posters, single promotional leaflets, etc., which are produced and published annually in over 250 titles after passing the judging and editing stages. Written products will be widely available to users and stakeholders in the agricultural sector through the Agricultural Knowledge and Technology Promotion Forum.
